AG Wilson Limited, Carlingford Lough Greenway Section III, Unveiled as Construction Project of the Year Joint Winner at 2025 Plant & Civil Engineer Awards

AG Wilson Limited, Carlingford Lough Greenway Section III, has been named joint winner of the Construction Project of the Year title at the 2025 Plant & Civil Engineer Awards.

The accolade – sponsored by Mantis – was presented in recognition of the technically complex, environmentally sensitive and socially impactful nature of the project.

Carlingford Lough Greenway Section III exemplifies engineering excellence. Innovative marine-edge construction, circular economy practices and rigorous safety and stakeholder engagement delivered a high-quality, cross-border active travel corridor that enhances connectivity, sustainability and community value in a protected coastal setting.

The judges highlighted how AG Wilson Limited has demonstrated “how thoughtful completion, technological innovation and community engagement can produce a truly exemplary project.”

Returning to the Crowne Plaza Belfast, Shaw’s Bridge, the Plant & Civil Engineer Awards ceremony was compered by TV and radio sports presenter, Adrian Logan, and attracted 400-plus industry leaders who gathered for the unveiling of the 18 categories.

Organised by Hillsborough-based publishers of Plant & Civil Engineer, 4SM (NI) Ltd, the annual event has cemented its reputation as a must-attend celebration of the excellence and dedication that drive the plant, construction, and civil engineering industries forward.
