AG Wilson Takes Part in Belfast Marathon 2026
AG Wilson once again laced up to take part in the Belfast Marathon for the third consecutive year. What began as a small initiative has grown into a key date in the company calendar, bringing colleagues together from across the business to challenge themselves, support one another, and make a meaningful difference for charity.
Before The Marathon
Over the past year running has become an increasingly popular activity across the company, with many employees taking part in events beyond the Belfast Marathon. Since 2025, team members have participated in a range of races, including the Belfast Women’s 10K, the Dublin Marathon, the Portadown Running Festival and the Almac 5K in the week leading up to the marathon.
Memorable Achievements
All three relay teams delivered strong performances, earning their medals with pride. A special mention goes to Paddy, who ran the full 26.2 mile course, was able to smash his PB and run under the four hour mark. It’s an outstanding achievement we are delighted to celebrate.
Supporting Lighthouse
For the third year running, AG Wilson raised funds for Lighthouse, the charity dedicated to supporting construction workers and their families.
The construction industry faces unique challenges, particularly around mental health, and Lighthouse provides vital services including a 24/7 helpline, training programmes and wellbeing support for those in need. As a company operating within this sector, supporting Lighthouse is a cause that resonates strongly with our team and wider community.
This year’s efforts exceeded expectations, with over £4000 raised-surpassing the £1000 target and marking the highest total to date.
We would like to thank everyone who ran, supported, donated and cheered from the sidelines.
