Safety Built In: AG Wilson Supports the CEF Safety Reboot 2026
AG Wilson is proud to reaffirm its commitment to safety by actively participating in the CEF 2026 Safety Reboot campaign. This annual initiative provides an opportunity to pause, reflect and refocus on the critical health and safety priorities that protect our workforce.
Throughout January, our teams will dedicate time each week to address key risks, refresh knowledge, and strengthen safe working practices - ensuring we start the year with a renewed focus on wellbeing and risk prevention.
What Is the CEF Safety Reboot?
The Safety Reboot encourages construction companies to stop work for around 15 minutes each week during January to focus on critical safety themes. The first three weeks are set by CEF, while the final week is chosen by each company to address its own priorities.
Our Weekly Focus Areas
Week 1 – Site Re-Induction: After the Christmas and New Year break, re-induction is essential. It’s an opportunity for everyone to reacquaint themselves with site conditions, rules, and safety measures before work resumes. This step helps prevent complacency and ensures a safe restart.
Week 2 – Fall Prevention and Protection: Falls remain one of the leading causes of serious injuries in construction. With much of our work taking place below ground in excavations, planning and implementing robust fall protection measures is critical. We’ll review safe systems of work and raise awareness of risks – even for tasks under 2 metres.
Week 3 – Mental Health: Mental health continues to be a major challenge in our industry. This week is about breaking stigma and encouraging open conversations. We’re proud to support the Lighthouse Construction Charity, providing resources and guidance to help our teams reflect, share, and seek support when needed.
Week 4 – Occupational Health: For our chosen theme, we’re focusing on occupational health through our new partnership with Build Health. Long-term health risks, such as exposure to silica dust, can have serious consequences. We’re committed to proactive measures that protect our workforce and promote healthier working environments.
Why Take Part?
We participate in the CEF Safety Reboot each year to reinforce our safety leadership, organisational standards and management arrangements. The Reboot supports meaningful engagement with our workforce, encouraging open conversations about risk, safe decision-making and continuous improvement. Therefore, we strengthen leadership accountability, reinforce shared responsibility for safety at all levels to prevent harm.
By taking part together, we build stronger leadership accountability, empower everyone to take ownership of safety, and reaffirm a shared commitment to preventing harm and protecting one another.
